Moranda is a multifaceted creative soul whose passion for photography, dance, and costumes has been woven into the tapestry of her life's work. With a background as a fine art framer at a local fine art gallery for many years, Moranda has honed her appreciation for aesthetics and an eye for detail, which she now translates into captivating visual stories.
A Love for Photography:
Moranda's love affair with photography began at a young age when she received her first camera as a gift. It didn't take long for her to realize that photography was more than just a hobby; it was a powerful medium to capture the beauty and essence of life. Whether she's capturing a candid moment, a breathtaking landscape, or a carefully composed portrait, Moranda's photographs speak volumes about her dedication to her craft. Expanding into the world of dance Moranda has been capturing images of dancers, families and athletes for the past 13 years.
Dance: An Artistic Connection:
Dance has been an integral part of Moranda's life, serving as both a form of self-expression and a source of inspiration for her photography. In her youth, her years of training as a figure skater and coach have given her a unique perspective on movement, rhythm, and emotion, which she skillfully infuses into her work.
Moranda raised a family of 4, all of whom are dancers. Moranda's background allows her to capture the grace and fluidity of her subjects, whether they're dancers themselves or individuals seeking to express themselves through movement.
From Gallery to Studio:
Moranda's journey in the world of fine arts led her to work as a fine art framer at a local Regina art gallery for several years. This experience allowed her to immerse herself in the world of art, deepening her understanding of composition, framing, and the visual language of creativity. It was during this time that Moranda's dream of opening her own Creative Space was born.
In 2023, Moranda took the leap and established Silver Swan Studio, where she continues to blend her love of photography, dance, and costumes to craft visually stunning narratives. Her artistry and dedication to her craft shine through in every photograph she captures.
